Intensio Gala Ballet

A new Ballet Gala is organized by ELBA always consistent in their programming (among others the “Zakharova & Friends” Ballet Gala in the Athens Concert Hall, “Gala Superstars” in Odeon of Herodes Atticus). But in this particular case there are many innovations. First of all there is a novelty: this ballet gala has a title “Intensio”, i.e. “intense”. By this title our dancing adrenaline hits the roof let alone by the presence of the well known, from the 2008 “Zakharova & Friends” ballet gala, the one and only Daniil Simkin.
There is another first in this gala: Twelve first dancers, all international stars. Dance stars from ten Ballet Companies from both sides of the Atlantic. Fifteen dancing performances: duets, pas de deux, solos and ensembles. Fifteen choreographers of the past, the present and of all times: From Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot to Roland Petit and Veinonen, from Petipa and Ivanov to Neumeier and Mats Ek, from Gorsky to Gerald Arpino and also Simkin senior.
The ballet dances will be performed with the music of twelve composers, from Bach to Massive Attack, from Mozart to Adams, from Tchaikovsky and Minkus to Chopin and the Flesh Quartet, from Adam and Massenet to Myaskovsky and Jaques Brell.
