General Info / Access

The theatre is situated in the “Psiri” area on the Sari road. The area gets its name from the moniker of the original squatter to settle in this area of old Athens and it was a place for craft-based workshops from 1950 to 1970.  The area of Psiri is a classic example of the modernisation of Athens with clubs, restaurants and cultural spaces beginning to appear in the early 90’s and continuing through the Olympic Games in 2004 until today throughout the historical centre of the city. Theatre venues, art rooms, restaurants, cafes and clubs have now replaced, to a great extent, the old houses and workshops.
